Janet Faith is offering a Fairway Village Website intro. course on Thurs, Jan. 12, at 10-11 am and an AOL Mail Tips and Tricks on Friday, Jan. 13, at 1 pm.

 

Ed Watzel is offering a Windows7 class on Friday mornings at 9 and a Beginner class at 10 am. Sign up on the computer room bulletin board.

 

Jim Fleming's Help Session will be held during Open Hours on Mondays from 3-5 pm.

 

Mary Blackmon's class in digital photo editing, is being held in the computer room at 1 pm on Fridays, Jan. 6, 20, and 27.

 

For questions on slide show creation, ripping music from CDs, or moviemaking using photos and videos, go by the computer room at 3 pm on the Fridays above when Mary Blackmon is monitor.

For questions on genealogy, go by the computer room at 3 pm on Thursdays when Gloria Beek is monitor.

 

EXPERIENCE LEVELS

BEGINNER — New to computers. Might want to learn basic e-mail, games, beginner Windows, beginner word processing, or computer maintenance. BASIC SKILLS — Can use the mouse, can play games or send e-mail. Might want to learn Windows operating system, basic word processing, advanced e-mail, Internet surfing, emailing photos in Picasa, or how to win at games. INTERMEDIATE — Can do at least one of the basic skills programs above. Might want to learn intermediate MS Word, or create projects in Printshop, or make spreadsheets and graphs in Excel, or do photo editing in Picasa. ADVANCED — Can do at least one intermediate program. Might want to enhance photos in Digital Image Suite or Adobe Photoshop, create calendars or slideshows in Digital Image Suite, merge lists into labels, form letters, or envelopes in Advanced MS Word, create artistic materials in Printshop, or create advanced spreadsheets and graphs in Excel.
